I’ve included a few pictures of Lois’ carvings to share with family members. \u00a0As I’ve gained experience turning, I’ve started seeing shapes and forms in trees and blocks of wood. \u00a0But, I can’t see animals! \u00a0Watching her transform a block of wood into one of these is an amazing process. \u00a0So, enjoy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
\"Lois<\/a><\/td>\nThis is Lois’ first carving<\/p>\n

The bear is 3 1\/2 inches tall with no base, carved from basswood with a wax finish.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

\"otter\"<\/a><\/td>\n\u00a0A Carving With Attitude!<\/p>\n

This river otter is 11 1\/2 inches tall including base and is carved from basswood with a cherry base. The carving is painted with acrylic paint.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

\"plate\"<\/a><\/td>\nLois took a plate that I had turned and was going to \u00a0throw away cause I didn’t like it. \u00a0She carved away, and it looks pretty cool. The hibiscus flower is painted with acrylic paint and the plate is finished with a wipe on poly finish.<\/p>\n

The plate is 10 inches in diameter and is ash.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

This guy is not finished. He is carved from basswood but no base yet.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

\"big<\/a><\/td>\nSheep<\/p>\n

The sheep bust is 8 inches tall including base, carved from basswood with a painted maple base. The sheep is painted with acrylic paints and finished with a spray on matte finish.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

\"wolfe\"<\/a><\/td>\nWolf<\/p>\n

The wolf head is 12 1\/2 inches tall including base. It is carved from basswood with a maple base. The carving is painted with acrylics and finished with a spray on matte finish.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

\"tiger\"<\/a><\/td>\n\u00a0Sumatran Tiger<\/p>\n

The tiger is 7 3\/4 inches tall including base. The carving is basswood with a painted maple base. The tiger is painted with acrylics and finished with a spray on matte finish.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

\"bear<\/a><\/td>\nBears<\/p>\n

This is a wall hanging that is 14 inches high and 7 inches wide carved from basswood. The bears are painted with acrylics and finished with a matte spray on finish.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

\"buff\"<\/a><\/td>\nBuff<\/p>\n

Buff is 9 1\/2 inches tall including the walnut base. The buffalo is stained and finished with a spray on matte finish.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
